In response to the pandemic, a plethora of funding activities have been announced globally by governments, bilateral and multilateral donors, development finance institutions, philanthropic organisations, and the private sector. Africa Investment Forum’s founding partners have also risen to the challenge individually by designing or supporting initiatives that seek to address the immediate and eventual fallout of the pandemic. The AIF team has identified 13 projects across five relevant sectors for funding consideration by AIF Founding Partners. These 13 projects have a collective value of $3.68 billion, and each one will help advance the continent’s self-sufficiency and resilience against future shocks. In this document, we provide a glimpse into these 13 projects as well as the COVID-19 response initiated by our founding partners to promote the development of quality health and pharmaceutical infrastructure, market connectivity, and increased manufacturing and value addition on the continent.
