Mr. Admassu Tadesse is the Group President and Managing Director of TDB Group and Chairman of its Executive Management Board. He co-chairs the boards of TDB Group entities, including the Trade and Development Fund, TDB Captive Insurance Company, TDB Fund Manager, and the ESA Trade Finance Fund. He also serves on the governing bodies of the International Development Finance Club, Finance in Common, and the Africa Investment Forum, and chairs the Board of Financial Sector Deepening Ethiopia.

From 2012 to 2022, Mr. Tadesse led PTA Bank’s transformation into TDB Group, following a decade as Executive Vice President at the Development Bank of Southern Africa. An economist and banker, he holds degrees from the London School of Economics, Wits Business School, and Western University, with executive training from Harvard and INSEAD. He has received numerous distinctions, including African Banker of the Year and African Business Leader of the Year.
