Maryse Mbonyumutwa Gallagher, a pioneer of the African textile industry, is a Rwandan entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the global fashion and apparel sector across Europe, China, Southeast Asia and, since 2017, Africa.

She founded Pink Mango, an export-oriented garment trading and manufacturing group, and co-founded Pink Mango Rwanda, a joint-venture employing 5,000 workers in Rwanda, 70% of whom are women.

Committed to fostering meaningful development on the continent, she created Pink Ubuntu, a CSR programme dedicated to improving the living and working conditions of textile and garment workers—particularly women—across Africa.

Maryse is also the founder and CEO of Asantii, a contemporary pan-African fashion brand celebrating African heritage and craftsmanship through sustainable and ethical design. Launched in August 2022, Asantii is available online and in selected concept stores in Kigali, Accra, Abidjan, London, New York and Brussels. She is deeply committed to building sustainable African fashion brands that support responsible industrialization throughout the continent.
