With over 20 years of experience with Societe Generale Group, Fatou is Head of Coverage and Investment Banking for Africa since 2023. 

She started within the bank’s Risk division in 2002, as risk officer working on rating model for corporate and FI clients. In 2008, she moved to the credit risk team covering financial institutions in the EMEA region where she held successive positions as credit analyst, deputy head and head of credit analysis. In her previous role as a Senior Relationship Manager since 2018, she successfully developed Societe Generale's client business and relationships with African clients: Sovereign, Financial Institutions (FI) and Corporates. Besides her executive role, Fatou was also appointed non-executive Board director of Societe Generale Benin and Togo in 2021, and Societe Generale Côte d’Ivoire in 2024. 

Fatou is a board member of different initiatives for Diversity and Inclusion within Societe Generale. She holds a Master of Science, Econometrics, Banking & Financial Markets from the University of Aix-Marseille II – Faculté des Sciences Economiques et de Gestion. She was certified “ESG analyst” by Société Française des Analystes Financiers (SFAF) in 2021.
