Ivorian banker and philanthropist Ibrahim Magassa has specialized in the innovative financing of major strategic public and private projects across Africa.

On the international scene, as President of Algest Investment Bank, he advocates for the attractiveness of the African continent and works to improve African competitiveness through innovative financial models, promoting approaches based on the viability and impact of projects rather than on financial guarantees. He notably led the landmark USD 15 billion Ghana operation, a flagship example of large-scale African-led financial structuring.

Founder of the African Business Club in France, he is the author of several economic contributions on growth dynamics in France and on China’s penetration strategies in African markets. He is a regular contributor to financial and geopolitical strategy outlets at the continental and international levels, including the Financial Times, Jeune Afrique, Le Monde, and Outre-Terre magazine, and collaborates closely with the Africa Investment Forum.

Ibrahim Magassa has also been appointed UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Priority Africa, recognizing his commitment to inclusive development, education, and strengthening Africa’s voice on the global stage.
